We perform the surgical treatment of cancer diseases that occur in the reproductive organs of women in our hospital. We evaluate the most appropriate treatment options for our female patients diagnosed with cancer as multidisciplinary and apply the surgical treatment process suitable for the patient.
Female reproductive organs are ovaries, uterus, tubes, vagina and vulva. Cancers that occur in the female reproductive organs are called gynecological cancers. The branch of science that examines cancers originating from these organs is gynecological oncology. Our physicians who deal with gynecological oncology and treat these diseases have knowledge about the early diagnosis of such diseases, surgical treatment with advanced methods and treatment methods to be applied after surgery (radiotherapy, chemotherapy, hormonal treatments, etc.).
What types of gynecological cancer do we treat in our department?
- Cervical Cancer
- Endometrial Cancer
- Tuba Cancer
- Ovarian Cancer
- Vulva Cancer
- Trophoblastic (Pregnancy-Dependent) Tumors
How do we plan to treat gynecological cancers?
The laparoscopic approach is preferred because it leads to faster recovery and less pain in early stage endometrial and cervical carcinoma cases. We perform laparoscopic surgeries of gynecological malignancies with high quality standards and without any problems.
With our pathology specialists who are present during the surgeries, it is possible to make a diagnosis thanks to the immediate evaluation of the removed part (frozen section). Thanks to the advanced technological infrastructure, our surgeons and radiologists review the preoperative radiological imaging studies during the surgery.
We are planning post-operative treatment decisions at the Oncology Council, where different specialists such as radiation oncology and medical oncology participate.
